First thing that comes to mind when you talk about Medical Records is "Electronic Medical Records"

Every hospital should have Electronic Medical Records. These should be available online for viewing and updating by Doctors, Nurses, Case Managers, Pathologist, radiologist and who ever else is the stake holder.

Most of the hospitals maintain Medical Records in a physical file and guess what? They are always running out of space. Trying to sort out the physical files which should be sent to secondry stotage and then retrieving them when required.

The physical files are moved from Medical Records department to Emergency Department, Preadmission Clinic, Wards or where ever else required and go misplaced in the process.
