In a hospital, Hospitality department has a very important role to play. It is the job of Hospitality department to clean the room after a patient is discharged.
The fastest way to inform Hospitality personnel about the rooms to be cleaned is to mark the room status from occupied to dirty as part of the discharge process, Hospitality department also needs to know the level of cleaning required which depends on the infection status of the patient who was occupying the room before discharge.
Hospitality module should display the list of rooms to be cleaned, level of cleaning required and the priority.
The priority depends on how many patients are waiting to be moved to a particular ward and the medical condition of the waiting patients. The priority should be upgraded by the ward managers if need be.
As hospitality personnel start cleaning the room, they should update the room status from dirty to cleaning in progress. The status should again be updated to clean when the cleaning process is finished. The ward manager looking at the status of rooms can then arrange for the patient to me moved to the room from recovery ward or emergency response ward or any other waiting patients. The room status then will go back to occupied.
