&lt;p&gt;Patient to nurse ratio is crucial factor in the Hospital Management. Quality of care suffers if the Number of patients to Nurse ratio is high. Also the death rate increases if the ratio is high. However, if the ratio is low then the profitabilty goes down and it may not be even viable.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There has to be a balance. The patients to nurse ratio can not be fixed. It the patients are not in critical condition then the ratio could be high without adversly affecting the quality of care. The ward manager needs to determine the acuity of each patient and then determine as to how many nurses are required for his ward.&lt;/p&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
