Hospital Management Software - Preadmission Clinic

Preadmission clinic is set up for the prerequisites to be done before the surgical procedure is done after the admission.

Prerequisites may be following:

Assessment by a nurse
Breiefing to patient by case manager
Assessment by a Physio
Assessment by the anaesthetist
Pathology/Radiology tests

Hospitals receive a booking/referral for a patient from the surgeon. Either surgeon recommends the preadmission procedures or the hospital decides that the patient should visit preadmission clinic. Patient is contacted and a booking is made. In deciding the booking date preadmission clinic has to keep in mind the availability of Assessing burse, Case Manager, Physio and Anaesthetist.

If Medical Records are kept manually then the Medical Records folder is requested to be sent to preadmission clinic before the booking date.

On arrival of patient an outpatient visit is recorded and all the required assessments, tests and patient briefing is done.
