At the time of Admission, the patient may be on medication. The admission process should cater for capturing the information about the medicines beingtaken by the patient.

While the patient is in the hospital, attending doctors may prescribe more medicines for the patient. The attending doctors may also advise that some of medicines the patient has been taking are to be stopped.

At the time of discharge, the patient needs to be given the left over medicines and clear instructions as to what medicines need to be continued at home.

The Dispensing Medication software module should help nurses in dispensing correct medication, dosage at the prescribed frequency.

What is the process followed at your hospital?
